NITextile present at “Inovar & Empreender 2024”
The Azurém Campus of the University of Minho was the stage for a true celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship, on the 19th of September.
The event “Inovar & Empreender 2024”, promoted by UMinho School of Engineering (EEUM), brought together a diverse audience, made up of innovative minds, emerging companies and investors, all immersed in an environment of collaboration and growth.
With a strong turnout, the meeting provided a dynamic platform, in which EEUM was able to showcase its best in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship, reinforcing the link between academia and the market, in addition to stimulating the creation of sustainable businesses.

Well-known politician and commentator Luís Marques Mendes shared his vision on the role of innovation in economic and social growth, inspiring the audience with profound reflections on the future.
EEUM officially launched the agenda that will guide its next steps, focusing on digital transformation, sustainability and business competitiveness, defining priorities for the coming years.
Moderated by Hugo Correia, the round table “From Idea to Business” featured the participation of prominent figures, such as Lurdes Gramaxo (Bynd Venture Capital) and Jorge Batista (PRIMAVERA), who discussed the challenges and best practices for transforming innovative ideas into successful companies.

Among the companies present, NITextile stood out as a spinoff from the University of Minho.
With innovative solutions for the textile industry, the company exemplifies the transfer of knowledge from academia to the market.
