innovation was one of the central focuses of the debate, exploring technological trends, collaboration between entities and financing opportunities. sustainability was also highlighted, with discussions on ecodesign, consumer behavior, standardization and regulation. Finally, digitalization was addressed with a focus on strategic partnerships, artificial intelligence and automation applied to innovation.

Challenges and Opportunities in the Textile and Clothing Industry Sector

The textile and clothing sector faces significant challenges that require innovative and sustainable strategies. The shortage of qualified labor and the difficulty in retaining talent are constant concerns, requiring professional development policies and continuous training. Absenteeism and the effective transmission of knowledge within companies are also obstacles that directly impact the productivity and competitiveness of the sector.

On the other hand, increasing digitalization offers opportunities to optimize processes, reduce waste and improve operational efficiency. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation and data analysis can be strategic allies to boost innovation and competitiveness.

Sustainability is another key factor, with a growing demand for responsible practices. Ecodesign and the circular economy are gaining relevance, driven by regulation and consumers’ greater environmental awareness. Collaboration between companies, technology centers and government entities appears as an opportunity to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable and innovative model.

NIT-NITextile remains committed to monitoring and contributing to the evolution of the sector, promoting innovation, sustainability and digitalization as essential pillars for a competitive and dynamic future.
